Spring break post 2: Kaikora and Marlborough

Now for my favorite part of break.... WINE!

But first: on our way to BLAHBLAH Blenheim we stopped at Kaikora. I actually wished we got more time there, it was a cute little beach town with ocean and mountains. Sounds good to me.

Main reason why I loved Kaikora.

Stony beach, teal ocean

One of those 'pinch me please' moments....

Our hostel in Blenheim where we consumed 25 servings of cheese, 18 servings of chips and whatever else we ate in the abundance of nachos. (thanks alot Kiwi music for making us go in hyper speed). Other than that Blenheim was kind of BLAH.

But......

The winery was possibly one of the best days of my life. This is from Dry Hills estate, the first winery. Already got a buzz going

The man who shunned red wine forever

Highfieldeaste. Fancy winery, but not so good wine.

We snuck into the wine factory in the back. Kind of cool, dont ya think?

Alan Scott, honestly done remember this one too well. I think it was the one right before lunch and i was wasted by this point.

Bouldevines, i think this was the place with my favorite wines. All the names are blurry.

Carbon Zero, one of the only (if not the only) green wineries in the world.

Mahi: the supposedly best wine in NZ. It was good.
Overall, i found a whole new love for White wines, sorry reds, I'm moving on.

Now these were these caramel/ butterscotch/toffee shots. It was candy in a drink. Im in love.

Forget it, my new love was the coffee shot. Heaven in a (shot) glass.

Overall great (drunken) day.
